Finance Department

The Finance Department is responsible for:

  • Preparing and executing the City's annual budget
  • Providing financial advice to the City Manager, City Council and all departments
  • Helping to maintain a fiscally sound government organization 
  • Conforming to legal requirements and generally accepted financial accounting principles
  • Managing the custody of all City assets
  • Preparing the City's annual property tax levy 
  • Managing of the City's investments
  • Overseeing the Accounting Division, Purchasing and Risk Management Division, Information Systems Division and Revenue Division









  • Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for more than 31 years
  • City Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting Award for more than 25 years
