Bids will be received until Tuesday, August 30, 2011, at 3:00 p.m., by mail or delivered by hand to the Finance Department Purchasing Office, City of Carbondale, 200 South Illinois Avenue, Carbondale, Illinois, immediately after which time and at such place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at 3 p.m., with a site tour to immediately follow.

Proposals shall be submitted on forms furnished by the City and shall be marked Bid No. 12-07. Plans and specifications may be obtained at the Finance Department Purchasing Office, or on the City’s website www.explorecarbondale.com.

The Contract shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder complying with the provisions of the Bid Document. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any informality or technicality in any proposal in the interest of the City.
