Liquor License Information
Class A1
- 51% of gross retail sales revenue must be from the sale of food and/or non-alcoholic beverages
- Authorizes the sale of beer and wine only, by the drink, but not by the package (except wine), with food for consumption on the premises only
Class A2
- 51% of gross retail sales revenue must be from the sale of food and/or non-alcoholic beverages
- Authorizes the sale of all alcoholic liquor, by the drink, but not by the package (except wine), with food for consumption on the premises only
Class A3
- Authorizes the sale of all alcoholic liquor, by the drink and not by the package
Class B1
- Authorizes the sale of beer and wine only, by the drink, for consumption on the premises only
- The holder of a B1 License shall not allow any person under the age of 19 years to enter into or remain upon the premises for which the license is held
- Package sales are not permitted
Class B2
- Authorizes the sale of all alcoholic liquor, by the drink, for consumption on the premises only
- The holder of a B2 License shall not allow any person under the age of 19 years to enter into or remain upon the premises for which the license is held
- Package sales are not permitted
- The total number of Class B1 and B2 Licenses, combined, issued by the Local Liquor Control Commission will not exceed 20
Class B3
- Authorizes the sale of all alcoholic liquor, by the drink, for consumption on the premises only
- The total number of Class B3 Licenses issued by the Local Liquor Control Commission will not exceed five
Class B4
- Authorizes the sale of all alcoholic liquor, by the drink, for consumption on the premises only
- The holder of a B4 License shall not allow any person under the age of 19 years to enter into or remain upon the premises for which the license is held, unless a modified entry age is esbalished by the Local Liquor Control Commission
- The total number of Class B4 Licenses issued by the Local Liquor Control Commission is one
Class C1
- Authorizes the sale of all alcoholic liquors by a package liquor store, in their original package only, for consumption off the premises only
- The total number of Class C1 Licenses issued by the Local Liquor Control Commission will not exceed eight
Class C2
- Authorizes the sale of beer and wine by a grocery store, in their original package only, for consumption off the premises only
- The total number of Class C2 Licenses issued by the Local Liquor Control Commission will not exceed eight
Class D1
- Authorizes the sale of all alcoholic liquors by hotels and motels for consumption on the premises only
Class D2
- Authorizes the retail sale of all alcoholic liquors by bed and breakfasts for consumption on the premises only
Class E
- Authorizes the sale of all alcoholic liquors by fraternal organizations only for consumption on the premises of the organization
Class F1
- Temporary Liquor License for the sale of beer and wine by not for profit organizations at a picnic, outing, festival or other occasions.
Class F2
- Temporary Liquor License for the sale of all liquor by not for profit organizations at a picnic, outing, festival or other occasions
Class F3
- Applicant must provide proof if event is sanctioned by Southern Illinois University
- Authorizes the sale of liquor on Southern Illinois University property
Class G
- Authorizes the sale of all alcoholic liquors at a conventional golf course consisting of a least nine holes
Class H1
- Authorizes the sale of wines, in their original package only, by any person who regionally produces, bottles or manufactures the wines
- Wines shall be sold for consumption off the premises only, except that wine tasting or other sampling of wine products of the licensee may occur on premises
Class H2
- Authorizes the sale of wine, beer and spirits by any person who regionally produces, bottles or manufacturers wine, beer and spirits in a state licensed winery, microbrewery and/or micro-distillery
Class I1
- Authorizes farmer's markets to conduct wine, beer or spirits tastings on its premises for the purpose of informing and educating the tasters about the regionally produced wine, beer or spirits being sampled
Class I2
- Authorizes the sale of regionally produced beer, wine or spirits by the package, for consumption off the premises at a farmer's market
- Retail sales shall be limited to one vendor of regionally produced beer, wine or spirits per event date
Class J
- Authorizes the sale of all alcohol, by the drink, for consumption upon the specified premises during scheduled functions, not for profit, and primarily for the public presentation of theatrical or musical performances, art exhibits or oral presentations
Class K
- Alcoholic liquor may be consumed throughout the movie theater, including in the movie theater auditorium
- Authorizes the sale of alcoholic liquor, for consumption on the premises only, incidental to the operation of a movie theater
Class L
- Authorizes a license holder in good standing of a Class A, B, E, H or J Liquor License to sell alcohol for consumption in a controlled area for not greater than three days
