UPDATE - Tree Talks Program Rescheduled for Aug. 10

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CARBONDALE – Join the City Arborist for a guided walking tour on Saturday, August 10 from 9-11 a.m. The tour was originally scheduled for June 22 but was cancelled due to bad weather. 

The series of guided walking tours will give residents an up-close look at the different types of trees throughout Carbondale and will provide residents with an opportunity to learn more about planting tips and tree maintenance. 

Tours will be held on the following dates: 

  • Fall Tour: October 12 
  • Spring Tour: April 18 

All participants will be entered to win a free tree planted by the City. Tours will start and finish at Turley Park. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothes and shoes.

CARBONDALE – Due to inclement weather, the Tree Talks Program scheduled for Saturday, June 22 has been cancelled. The City hopes to reschedule the program in the next few weeks.
